The Nigerian International Trade Awards (NINTA) is organised by Podhium (CSA), 4 Babatope Bejide Street, off Fola Osibo, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. For the purposes of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, CSA, acting through the NINTA Secretariat, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and the awards programme.
We use personal data to administer the awards programme, including to: register and process entries; verify the claims made in an entry; administer independent judging; communicate with entrants and registered voters about the programme, key dates, finalists and results; organise the ceremony and gala; respond to enquiries; and maintain the security and integrity of the site.
We rely on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time; the performance of the agreement between you and NINTA when you enter; and our legitimate interest in running a credible, evidence-based awards programme.
To protect the integrity of the awards, information in an entry may be checked against independent sources, including NEPC export documentation, Nigeria Customs Service entry summaries and audited financial statements. Entries are assessed by an independent panel bound by confidentiality and conflict-of-interest declarations. Sponsors have no access to judging data and no influence over outcomes.
We share personal data only where necessary: with the NINTA Secretariat and the independent judging panel; with service providers acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations; and where required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal data.
Entry data submitted for assessment is treated confidentially and destroyed after the relevant judging cycle, save where we are required to retain records for legal or accounting reasons. Contact details for registered voters are kept for as long as you wish to receive programme updates.
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to access your personal data; to have it corrected or erased; to object to or restrict its processing; to withdraw consent; to data portability; and to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. The “Selection” tool stores the awards you shortlist in your browser’s local storage, on your own device, so your list is there when you return. You can clear it at any time from your browser. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
The programme and this website are intended for organisations and professional stakeholders, and are not directed to children under the age of 18.
